WAY OF THE LEAF – Circus Goes Green

Wonderflip is an earth-friendly festival. We believe in the conservation of our great outdoors, respecting mother earth and leaving the spaces she so generously shares with us, exactly as we found them. To minimize the footprint of our Circus family coming together on this beautiful, rural landscape near Udaipur and to make sure that the festival follows a sustainable trail, we are planning to incorporate the following ideas:

  • All the food from our gourmet food area will be served in bio-degradable containers and plates made from natural materials.

  • All our tents will have personal kits made of Ayurvedic products – since our happy little circus village is on lush farmland, we advise you to not bring mass produced personal care items. Use the ones we give you, and help the water that travels back into the earth be clean and chemical free.

  • We have a special natural powder treatment which is going into all the bathrooms in the campsite. This will help to breakdown the pathogens in the organic waste and create compost rich in nutrients for the community to then use in their farms.

  • Cigarette butts are a huge source of waste during festivals. We will be giving you little containers to collect all your cigarette butts in, so when they get full, just empty them into the buckets placed around the venue. These shall be collected and recycled by our partners. These shall be collected and recycled into toys for children by our partners, the amazing Project CiggB.

  • A specially curated eco-shop on site shall allow you to pick up all types of amazing products, which may be good for you, but are great for the environment too.

  • We will have systems for separation and disposal of metal, glass, plastic and other waste matter at the venue. All recyclable matter generated at the festival shall be collected by our recycling partners on a daily basis.

Remember you don’t live on earth - you’re just passing through
